Effing Global Warming
When will we learn?
Snow fell on Baghdad on Friday for the first time in memory, and delighted residents declared it an omen of peace.
“It is the first time we’ve seen snow in Baghdad,” said 60-year-old Hassan Zahar. “We’ve seen sleet before, but never snow. I looked at the faces of all the people, they were astonished,” he said.

Unfortunately we will not learn until it is to late. Sad really.

Sleet is rain that freezes on the way down. Snow is water vapor that turns directly into ice crystals. Both require cold weather, but different atmospheric conditions. If anything, this is more evidence that climate patterns around the world are changing due to what many call global warming. So thanks Steve, I coulnd’t have come up with better evidence of the rapidly changing climate.
In other news, it is January 11 and the weather in the triangle has been surprisingly warm with temperatures between 60 and 70 all week. It’s January and I’m comfortable outside in short sleeves.

Yeah, my argument has always been for climate changes rather than stupid naive ideas of thigns getting visibly warmer everywhere all at once, so I’m fine here.

It must disgust you to see someone like Al Gore use these kinds of outliers to generate the political will to get legislation passed.

Yes, his anecdotal evidence disgusts me exactly as much as your anecdotal evidence, in general.

I didn’t know Al Gore was running for office.

Is there a Rigorous Empirical Proof Party candidate on the ballot this year?
