I totally forgot about that. Memories. Fourth of Julys in LaVista were truly a cultural experience. How can it be that I just forgot about that until you reminded?? I’ve never been a true German-American, I guess. Or could a real German-American forget the day of national glory and independence and power and greatness (and fireworks and beer accompagnying that)?
God provided the most awesome 4th of July firework show that ever existed…. Unfortunately, I think some of the fireworks ended up crashing on people’s cars and in the roadways. Regardless, it was pretty awesome. Can’t beat a good thunderstorm. Hope everyone was safe.

Man, I’m in China, and I spent all last night wishing I could hear or read the declaration of independence. At least I got to see some fireworks.

They have fireworks in china?!?!?!?! Huh. Who knew.

They were playing the 1812 Overture in Kroger on the 4th. It made my shopping epic… fucking epic.
