I agree - I saw this yesterday myself and I thought well said. Now only if he wasnt such a strict constitionalist and anti foreign policy. Even then he still might bug me. Something about it him that just annoys me.
He didn’t say anything… He turned the tables and asked them the questions as if they were the candidate. All he said is it should be a state issue. If he were asked about gay marriage he would say the same thing. I’m not saying it’s wrong… States probably should have more power. But, it doesn’t really tell you how he feels about some of the complexities that he was using as questions.
I got the impression that he was middle ground which is probably were the majorities of American’s land. This of course is more evidence for a successful passage of constitutional amendment declaring when life begins.
He doesn’t personally like abortion, but he’s not willing to try to outlaw it across the nation. It is not the federal government’s job to do that.
But I see the benefits of Steve’s constitutional amendment. That would clear up a lot of the messy gray area. It would still leave some, but since it is a constitutional amendment at least a lot of people would have to agree on it.
