It All Adds Up
So it turns out the Patriots dominance in the NFL is becasuse they are cheaters. Given what I know of Patriot fans this really doesn’t surprise me.
In the preseason game against the Panthers as way of explanation for why they got trounced the panthers head coach said they didn’t want to show all their weapons. At the time I passed that off as coach out of reality with the shortcomings of his team. But now i see his wisdom. He was afraid the patriots would illegally tape all of their super secret hand signals making them weak during the season when they play the patriots for real.
Go Panthers! Been a fan for almost thirty years.

This rule makes absolutely no sense. Teams of all sports steal signals all the time. There is a reason when the catcher goes to the mound to talk to the pitcher they put their gloves over their mouth. There is a reason the catcher shows about 4 hand signals to the picture telling him what to throw. There is a reason the 3rd base coach touches himself 50 times when talking to the guy on first.
There is a reason when football players on the sidelines send in the play many teams have two players show signals to the QB so nobody can figure out what play is being called. There is a reaon why in basketball the players always surround the coach with the clipboard during a timeout. Stealing signals is part of the game. Deception is giving signals is part of the game- some guy taping them is just a more advanced way of trying to decipher the code. Dumb rule. Go Patriots.
