This headline seriously made me laugh out loud.

Is your city mean to the homeless?

As a city we should make being homeless and unemployed as nice as possible or we could incur the wrath of the ‘Mean’ scale.

According to the article:

The annual list of the 20 worst cities for treating the homeless in 2005 ranks Lawrence, Kansas, as second meanest, and Little Rock, Arkansas, third. Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas and Houston were also among the top 10.

In unreleated news, a report put out by the Organization Againt Being Accosted states that the cities of Lawerence, Little Rock, Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas and Houston have been named top cities where its least likely to be accosted by mean dried up drug users. The report noted that in years where San Francisco’s citzens were nice enough to pay people for being homless the city was at the bottom of the list having more ‘mean and grouchy’ homeless people than any other city in the nation.
